The American rock band Paramore was established in 2004 in Franklin, Tennessee. Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro presently make up the band. Williams and Farro founded the band, and York, a high school classmate of the original lineup, joined in 2007. The band is contracted to Fueled by Ramen, an Atlantic Records subsidiary owned by Warner Music Group. Williams was signed individually to Atlantic after being noticed as a teenager, and they were the only company to allow her stay in the band rather than go solo, but Atlantic insisted the rest of the band had to sign with Fueled by Ramen.
