Mariah Carey's ultimate Christmas hymn debuts at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 list (dated November 26). Since its debut in 1994, the Christmas song has charted every year.

In December 2017, the song debuted in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. It finally reached the top spot in December 2019, staying there for three weeks throughout the holiday season, becoming the second Christmas song to do so since "The Chipmunk Song," by The Chipmunks with David Seville, lasted four weeks at No. 1 beginning in December 1958.

Carey penned the Christmas classic, which can be found on her album Merry Christmas. The song's grainy home-movie-style music video contains montages of Carey decorating a Christmas tree and playing in the snow with Santa and his reindeer. Carey sings that her one Christmas dream isn't for "presents beneath the Christmas tree," but for her love to come see her and share in the enchantment and romance of the holiday season.
